CFDs is the short form for contract for difference. When stripped to the bone it is a contract in which the closing and opening prices are exchanged after being multiplied by the contract’s underlying volume. Traders must however be aware that this kind of trading comes with very high risks. So when they plan to invest in CFDs they should have an investment plan. They should also take into consideration their appetite for risk along with their experience level. In short do not engage in CFDs if you can’t handle the huge losses that you might incur. Placing stop orders and using offset position can reduce the loss, but only to a certain extent.
