Garden Planning
I guess that it is really the wrong time of the year for thinking about making improvements to the garden. However, I am at the point where I can afford the things that I need and I have the time to do it and so I will just have to brave the rain and the cold and get on with it. The first thing that I plan to do is to separate the garden in to sections. I am going to have a plant wall in the middle and then decking on one side with a seating area and a few pots of geraniums and then a vegetable garden on the other side. Because the soil is no good, due to the big trees all around, I have decided to have some raised bed gardening which should be easier to manage anyway. I am not sure what grows well so I will plant all sorts and see what does the best. I am really looking forward to eating freshly picked vegetables, but I know that I need to start with the basics first and put in the vegetable garden fence as the one there is rotten and falling down. Once all the fences are done, then I can flatten the ground, segment it off and then start getting in the main parts of the garden.
