Meeting God in the Office
The demanding schedules both at home and in the workplace can leave little opportunity for prayer and Bible study in the daily routine. Given that Christians are taught to pray constantly and meditate on scripture morning, noon and night, a challenge arises that is frequently on the mind. Rather than being a source of guilt, this could simply suggest the Holy Spirit is calling individuals into communion with God. No part of daily life is exempt from God’s presence, and this includes the cubicle walls. With some planning and flexibility, an office can become a place for Bible reading and prayer, and without interfering with the work schedule for the day.
