Cleopatra, the great Egyptian queen is well known for many reasons; one of which was her creative use of rugs. Of course, we all know the story of how Cleopatra had herself wrapped in a large rug and delivered to Julius Caesar who was in town intent on taking over her country. She saved her country by forming an alliance with Caesar, later continued with Marc Anthony after the death of Julius Caesar.
